This is likely only of significant benefit during initial implementation, but right now I'd kill for the ability to click "Duplicate" on an existing template to build a copy that has a slightly longer Tier 2 timeline, or presents both updates and install options vs update only.
Writing this out, I wonder if it would be better if there were separate Options and Assignment templates...
