Even after the installation directory is removed, the detection rule script still reports the application as installed and continues executing the uninstallation command. Instead, implement an AND condition that validates the Bloomberg application’s installation path, which can be retrieved from the registry value.
Our application detection scripts use registry detection to determine if an application is installed, and do not support it for catalog apps at this time. We have found that generally file detection is not as accurate (installation paths can be customized), or scalable as registry detection. Marking this as Won't Implement for now.
