Splunk 10.2 patch is not supported on Server 2016. Thus, all deployments to collections containing Server 2016 show failures. We already have plenty of Software Update Groups and collections and aren't looking to add more.

Could likely be done manually using a requirement script. PMPC publisher doesnt have the GUI for it but does have a check box option to copy over requirement scripts from existing UPDATES/APPS to newly published ones.
We use it to prevent APPS from redeploying over the top of existing installs. Rely on UPDATES to do that. So deployed an requirement script onto the required APPS to prevent this occurring. A PMPC engineer actually created the first sample script for me and uploaded it to their GIT repository for the community. Sus it out as it can likely help you in the interim.
Though for sure 100% x3 votes it would be great if PMPC handled prerequisite checking itself instead of allowing the app to try to install and then fail.
