Are you able to add 123Scan, the zebra scanner application to your list of applications within PatchMyPC Cloud? Its a pain of the butt application to get the return code right and used by many retailers and distribution centres. Just the basic app. Another suggestion would be the Zebra Scanner app that runs as a service. This is used lots by larger organisations.
