Problem
Currently, customers can be notified that a Binary Free app deployment is outdated in two ways:
Through the separate New Version Notifications feature (if configured).
Via the red download icon displayed in the App Catalog.
If both of these indicators are overlooked, customers may not realize that a deployment requires action and can remain outdated indefinitely.
Feature Request
Introduce additional in-product indicators and calls to action when a Binary Free app deployment is out of date and requires a new installer upload.
Suggested improvements:
Deployments page: Display a clear visual indicator (status, warning icon, highlight, etc.) for outdated Binary Free app deployments.
Global notification banner: Show a banner informing users that one or more Binary Free deployments are outdated and require a new installer upload.
Example banner text:
One or more Binary Free app deployments are outdated and require action. Upload the latest installer to continue receiving updates.
Expected Outcome
Increase visibility of outdated Binary Free deployments, reduce reliance on email notifications or App Catalog indicators, and help customers take action more quickly.
