Please add native catalog support for i2 Chart Reader 10 for Windows.
We currently deploy i2 Chart Reader 10.1.2 through Patch My PC as a manually maintained custom application. Native catalog support would provide automated version detection and update packaging instead of requiring us to maintain every release ourselves.
i2 Chart Reader is the free read-only viewer for charts created with i2 Analyst's Notebook. It supports Analyst's Notebook chart files (.anb), Analyst's Notebook Exchange charts (.anx), and i2 TextChart visualizations (.tcv).
i2 Group states that Chart Reader is freely distributable according to its Software License Agreement.
The installer media contains a Windows Installer package named:
i2 Chart Reader 10.msi
Our current package installs it silently using:
msiexec /i "i2 Chart Reader 10.msi" /qn /norestart
This makes the application technically well suited to managed enterprise deployment through Patch My PC.
Keeping Chart Reader current is useful because organizations can distribute Analyst's Notebook charts to users who only require read-only access, without deploying the full Analyst's Notebook product.
IMPORTANT DOWNLOAD NOTE:
Although Chart Reader is free and freely distributable under the applicable license agreement, i2 Group currently distributes it through a public request form rather than exposing a permanent anonymous installer URL.
If Patch My PC requires a stable direct binary URL for catalog automation, coordination with i2 Group may therefore be required to obtain an approved distribution endpoint.
We currently maintain this application ourselves as a Patch My PC Custom App and would prefer native catalog support.
