Governance Policies

I'd like to suggest a Governance Policies feature within Advanced Insights that allows administrators to create compliance policies against any available data point collected by ConfigMgr and surfaced through Advanced Insights.

Something which would allow the following:

• Select a data point (application, version, service state, inventory attribute, update status, collection membership, custom inventory, etc.).

• Define what "compliant" looks like.

• Advanced Insights calculates compliance across the selected scope.

• Display the result as a simple compliance bar/chart with compliant vs non-compliant percentages.

• Allow drill-down into the raw data to identify non-compliant devices.

Example policies:

• Chrome version ≥ X

• Defender service running

• Application installed

• Application not installed

• Device patched within 14 days

• Custom inventory field populated

• Any other data point available within Advanced Insights

This would enable customers to build governance and compliance dashboards from existing data without requiring custom SQL queries, collections, or external reporting tools. The visual compliance score would provide an executive-friendly view, whilst retaining access to the underlying device-level data for remediation.

TL;DR: Allow any Advanced Insights data point to be converted into a compliance policy that produces a compliance percentage, visual chart, and drill-down list of non-compliant devices.
