would really be awesome and useful to be able to use pmpc as a way to publish other non public stuff. For instance software behind paywalls that pmpc couldnt get hands on, in house private/custom/non public software, or just as a way to push files/scripts and so on to devices... What i mean is if pmpc could add somekind of custom package creator through maybe somekind of easy gui wizard like maybe 1 2 3 steps (example could be perhaps a basic simplified way similar to how we can create app packages in sccm) would really be useful too many people.
Do you know when the ability to create custom updates (think SCUP and WSUS) will be available?
Great new Feature, we are testing it already.
But we would need more than 250 characters for the silent install parameters. any change possible?
How long does it typically take for custom apps from the portal to show up in the publisher?
I have flipped this feature to 'In Preview'
It has now been released as a public preview feature. Please refer to the release notes here and documentation here for more information.
Note that it is required to have the 'preview' checkbox set in the About tab.
Hey @Justin! Just noticed in the last preview build's release notes (https://docs.patchmypc.com/release-history/production-releases/preview-releases#2.1.18.48-2023-12-06) that the feature has been added to the Publisher. Is the feature still in private preview, or is it now in public preview? Would it be possible to view a demo of the feature?
I know custom apps is fresh out of the oven, and that your video tour might not be ready yet on your YouTube channel.. I'm just kinda hyped! :)

This would be amazing. Custom local library of unsupported apps. Following the same purpose of the software, we should be able to just keep adding the latest version of an app and PMPC just updates teh software and keeps the same parameters/config for the app. You can basically have a one-stop suite for app updates and PMPC just handles holding your Intune/SCCM configuration for each application.
it is a needed feature for our company, it decides whether we use patchmypc or not
Quick note: I changed the status of this idea to 'started' today, however, it has been in progress for some time already.

Was this webinar recorded? If so, where might I find it?
My ultimate goal is to have a unified update experience for our users, regardless of the application being updated. As is, anything not in PatchMyPC would be updated using PSADT, but it's UI to Close and update or defer is significantly different from PatchMyPC if a blocking process is currently running. Anything to unify the two would be fantastic.
