Microsoft is rolling out a new Teams client engine and renaming the existing one as Teams Classic. There are 'bulk' rollout methods, but would be great to have this in PMPC. Please see reference linked from this video:

Recommend the new Teams client simply be Microsoft Teams (as that is what it will be going forward) and the old one be renamed to Teams Classic Machine-wide Installer in order to differentiate them and use Microsoft's terminalogy to reference them.

That���s a bummer. Even if there was way to minimize the window it would be better than full screen.

Microsoft Teams Latest 25044.2208.3471.2155 (EXE) installed fine but there was a popup window for the bootstrapper that a user could close and break the install. Is there any way to surpress that?
We understand that this is not full support for the new Teams MSIX (no offline support, no per-user installation, etc) - but it will be supported the moment that the platform gains native MSIX support. If you want to be notified of updates to this feature, you can up-vote that here:

New Microsoft Teams utilizes an MSIX installer. Patch My PC does not yet support MSIX installation, however, Patch My PC was able to add support via the Teams Bootstrapper.
The following considerations apply:
- The installer requires internet access to run; it might fail in environments where the system account can't access the internet.
- It will always install the latest version, which may at times not match the version listed by PMPC.
- It does not remove Teams Classic by default - customers can add -u to the install command if they want this to happen

I was able to resolve my issue: keyword Delivery Optimization
Note: Download Mode 100 (Bypass) isn't supported.

After setting it to 0 or 99, it works.
Maybe someone has the same problem.

2025 and still no support, sad.
Super excited to have "New" (now Normal?) Teams in PMPC and hoping you will have an update for us soon!

Any updates? I believe there were some comments from PMP employees expecting this to be done around the end of 2024.
Can we get an update on this? I was very surprised when I went to move our Teams deployment to PMPC and it was not an option. Thanks guys!

Unfortunately, I do not have an update at this time. We are hoping to ship this sometime early in Q1.
