Multitenancy can help companies that aren’t MSPs but have subsidiaries or use separate tenants for testing purposes. Allowing them to manage multiple environments under the same company in the PMPC Cloud portal makes things much more organized.
Customers typically want Multitenancy for two main reasons:
They have separate tenants for Prod and Dev (e.g., testing environments).
They manage subsidiaries with their own tenants.
Bulk actions across all tenants could be useful.
Multi-tenancy would be great for us to have, as we manage a "Sandbox" and a "Production" environment. All of our apps are tested in our sandbox environment before we move to our production environment. Being able to manage this from one Patch My PC Cloud instance rather than separate portals would streamline our workflow and allow us to get insights and statuses all in one place. It also prevents us from having to manage account access in multiple tenants. Of course, there is also the obvious of having to do the same work twice in two different places.
We have three tenants (Production, Education, and Test) for which we'd like to manage all through one Patch My PC Cloud portal. Currently only Production is being managed.

EDU Support - ISD/RESA level at the county with full tech contracts for multiple LEA's. We are 100% their IT support and leadership. We see them as and treat them as 'extensions of ourselves', but they all have their own tenant space. Right now we can manage them with one ConfigMgr enviornment and just one of me ... if we shift to cloud-focused then I need to do my job many times over and there is still only one of me. I'd be more open to shifting to cloud-focused if my efforts could apply to multiple tenants without a heavy lift on my end. Public education is not known for staffing well or paying well ... so it's a struggle to maintain multiple environments.
We have TEST and Production and have recently acquired a new tenant. We need to be able to test and deploy/patch from a single platform
Hi everyone,
We've updated the description of this UserVoice idea to better explain why Multitenancy is important for non-MSP customers.
If possible, could you reply to this comment to provide more feedback on why you require Multitenancy? The more feedback we get, the easier it’ll be for us to discuss this internally and figure out the best way to move forward.
Thanks for your input!
We have a Test and Production tenant of Intune, with an application stack of over 150. Both tenants need to be aligned with the same stack of applications. In config Manager, for on-prem, we have one instance that connects to 3 endpoint domains (Dev, Test & Prod) all managed from 1 stack of applications.
We have 4 tenants and 7500 endpoints across the 4 tenants and multitenancy would be an incredible addition to the Platform.
Currently looking into our Sandbox environment and getting it like for like with our production environment, so this would be a massive feature for us. Any idea on when this could be worked on?
