Splashtop streamer is required to enable you to remote control the machine. This is critical during COVID-19 as all our users are now working remotely.
Bump for this one, I thought I had done it but then realised it was the Business (technician PC) software that I had installed, not the streamer. And I deleted my existing Streamer app from Intune once I thought I'd done it. Never do that :-)
hey Jason, that is correct, it's in the MSI. The best practice is to always change the product code with each new version, and keep the same UpgradeCode. Some vendors don't like to do that.
@Matt A, yes, thankfully other people clarified that for me.
That's why I specifically looked at the Streamer MSI today.
Splashtop Streamer and Splashtop Businesd are NOT the same software. Streamer is installed on the endpoints. Business is installed on IT/support staff devices to initiate the connection.
Thank you for providing these details. We considered this application, but, unfortunately, we will mark it as a "Future Consideration" for the moment. For these MSI installers, the vendor is using the same product with each release. It's not a best practice. Our detection scripts check if the product code exists to see if the app is installed. This is problematic given they never change it.
We'll mark it as a Future Consideration due to this reason.

Is there any update if this can be included in the catalogue?
I can speak to Splashtop about the required changes if necessary.
Thanks
The latest releases of streamer should auto-update.

is it the product code in the MSI? I'd be happy to open a support case with splashtop on it.

Splashtop Streamer is a different application that needs to be installed.
Hi Liviu
The streamer app is for splashtop business to remote access the end point device
Are you referring to the Splashtop Business Access? Or is the Streamer a different app?
please add this
yes please do this one
Would love to see this implemented too. We recently deployed Splashtop across our domain
