Patch My PC Feature and Application Request

A community where customers and the community can provide feedback to make a better product for everyone! For more details on how we prioritize request, please see:

View installed application that Patch My PC doesn´t support.

It would be good to find apps that is not Supported by Patch My PC.

Publishing tool finds apps that is not installed by Intune. Where users have installed them. And that is great.

The idea:
Add a column In the view "Scan Intune for supported Products" where apps that are not supported by Patch My PC is visible. So action outside Patch My Pc can be done.

Q1)Why do you need this data?
A1)To acknowledge we have additional third party applications to be updated by other means

Q2)What would you do if you have this data?
A2)We would plan to create applications and packages to update them.
We would also raise requests to PMPC for the most request ones.

Generally, it would be good to learn more about exactly how it will address the challenges you currently face

I'm keen to learn more from everyone who have voted on this feature request, whether you've already voted or you stumbling upon this in the future.

If you had the data available to you, showing you all the apps discovered in your environment and indicating which are supported by Patch My PC and those which aren't:

      • Why do you need this data?

      • What would you do if you have this data?

      • Generally, it would be good to learn more about exactly how it will address the challenges you currently face

If you want to discuss or share your reasons on this privately, feel free to email me adam@patchmypc.com

Fully agree here. Discovered is not really discovered. It is discovered and supported and we also would not like to work in Intune and PaMP.

You'd need to be able to produce the report for either ConfigMgr or for Intune depending on what license you have. This would be super helpful to help aid understanding of our potential risks.

Report showing discovered applications not supported by PatchMyPC

It would be a great asset, to know which applications we have in our environment, that are not supported by PatchMyPC, so we have an idea of what we have to update ourselves.

Inventory Scanner - show which apps are not managed by PMPC

Even though PMPC will not manage all apps in existence, it would be nice to flag the apps which aren't supported by PMPC.Maybe add another column in the inventory scanner with shows with YES/NO if it's supported or not.

View what Applications are not supported

It would be useful to have the opposite of the data gathered in 'scan intune for supported products'. It would be nice to see what random locally installed software (not deployed via intune) is out there in our environment that isn't able to be pa...
