Hello,
Every time TeamViewer release a build, we have to download the 32 and 64 bit versions of the app. The problem is that these apps are both names the same. "TeamViewer_Full.msi" and "Teamviewer_Host.msi" for both versions.
I would like to be able to put BOTH the x86 and x64 files in the local content folder and do one sync, instead of two. The easiest way for me to do this is to rename the X64 to "TeamViewer_Full_X64.msi" and "TeamViewer_Host_X64.msi" and leave the x86 as they are.
The change request is for PatchMyPC to import the X64 naming please!
Wait! You can use subfolders, and you read them? I didnt see this in the documentation, and support did not tell me this when we opened a ticket! Will test on next release!
Hello,
For applications that have the same binary name for multiple products, such as TeamViewer, we recommend creating subfolders in your local content directory. We like to keep the binary name in the catalog the same as what the vendor provides.
Marking as 'No Go' for now with the workaround above that we typically provide for this scenario.
