If i deploy an app/update and have enabled the Conflicting process option to prompt the user it would be nice to have an option for the UINotification process to provide a progress bar.
Example: Zoom app is deployed with conflicting process option enabled. As a user I currently have zoom open so i get a popup giving me 2 options. I can snooze the install or i can "Close all and install". If i select "close all and install" my zoom app closes and the the installation begins but i dont know when that install is finished. Aka i dont know when i can re-open zoom.
It would be nice to have an option for the UINotification process to show the user when the install is done so they know they can re-open zoom.
This is definitely missing. Scappman did notify the user, when the installation was done. This should be implemented soon, as the user experience is worse than before. Thanks.
A progress bar is possible in PSADT and would be nice to have for all installs with PMPC as well!
Is this something that is still being considered for implementation?
We are switching to PatchMyPC from manually packaging and patching using PSADT and it is a bummer that we can't show progress to end-user (even a dummy one that just keeps circling) during the installation.
