Adobe Creative Cloud Merged

Would be great if you could provide patches for the adobe creative cloud products, their current method of providing an update server for enterprises is a horrible product.

Adding Adobe Creative Cloud to our catalog is challenging for several reasons, including the need for Adobe login credentials to access binaries, managing custom configurations, and the inability to import apps over 2GB due to our current schema limitation in WSUS.

Similarly, the Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop App only supports silent installations when using binaries accessed through the Adobe login. The "free" download available here https://creativecloud.adobe.com/apps/download/creative-cloud does not support silent installations.

On a positive note, Adobe Creative Cloud apps can be managed using Custom Apps within Publisher. I've personally tested the Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop App & Adobe Photoshop with no issues.

However, there is currently a bug in PMPC Cloud that causes errors when uploading folders containing multiple versions of the same file (e.g., setup.exe in multiple locations). I am hopeful this bug will be resolved soon.

    TL;DR:

    • We won’t be adding Adobe Creative Cloud products to our existing catalog for the reasons mentioned above. However, Custom Apps can provide a viable workaround for our customers.

    • Adobe Creative Cloud apps work using Custom Apps with Publisher (I've personally tested the Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop App & Adobe Photoshop with no issues)

    • Adobe Creative Cloud apps DO NOT work with PMPC Cloud due to a bug when uploading folders containing multiple versions of the same file. I am hopeful this bug will be resolved soon.

Thank you for your request. Unfortunately, the way Adobe distributes and locks down update binaries will not work in ConfigMgr's software update model. As a workaround, you can use Adobe's Remote Update Manager (https://helpx.adobe.com/enterprise/package/help/using-remote-update-manager.html).
