Zoom has a separate cloud for government customers at zoomgov.com. They also are on a different release schedule from the commercial client. While the bits (for now) appear the same, it would help if we could be on this release channel instead.
I've been trying to figure out a difference between the ZoomGov and Zoom commercial Meeting clients and just put in a ticket with Zoom to get a definitive answer from them. The response from Zoom that I received is this:
All the clients are same for the commercial and the government sides of Zoom. You simply log into the different platforms through the clients by switching the server domain on the login screen.
I then asked about the difference between the downloads from zoom.us/download and zoomgov.com/download. Here is their response on that question:
The ZfG client is behind simply so that all updates can be vetted and approved for compliance purposes
So, based on these responses, it looks like you could use the Zoom Meetings updates that PMP publishes and possibly delay checking and deploying updates so your users are on an slightly older version of Zoom Meetings to get close to the ZoomGov release schedule.
Apologies for the delay in replying on this one. We've looked at this product in the past and found that there is no way to differentiate this product from Zoom Commercial. We looked in the registry and filesystem, and didn't find any differences at all between the products. I believe we even downloaded the installer and the Zoom Gov installer had the same file hash as an older Zoom Commercial release.
If anyone can provide more information on how we can detect this product separately from the Zoom Commercial product, we will take another look.
It has been at least 2 years. Is that not enough time to implement Zoom for Gov.? Don't you already have the basic framework of Zoom.us that this could be implemented by now? This is a little frustrating.
My organization as well. Didn't know there was a different version for gov until my purchasing department told us we purchased licenses. The vast majority of our users have been using the commercial Zoom.
Hello is it possible to provide the Government version of Zoom Meetings? For an application and patch version? https://www.zoomgov.com/ - client install https://www.zoomgov.com/client/latest/ZoomInstallerFull.msi
Thank you for the definitive answers from Zoom, Jaromy.
Since the products are the same, I've decided to implement the strategy outline by Jaromy, and I am withdrawing my votes.

Yup, we need this too.
In case PMPC needs it, here is the download URL: https://zoomgov.com/download

I am surprised this was not created the same as the Zoom installer, as the location has changed, but still readily available.
We just picked up Zoom Gov as well...
